- CHARGE UAUCTURE
4.1. Figure 2 presents the structure of charge “UA-100 ”. The charge body is made of stamped sheet steel. The front and back body walls have cone shape. On the front wall there is a threaded bed for electric detonator “EDPr ”, which is covered by protection cap during storage.

Fig.2. UAucture of charge “UA-100 ”
The body inner volume is separated into two parts by a barrier of damping material.
Between the damping material barrier and the body front wall (Fig.2) there are placed in a single row fabricated material, covered by resin in order to avoid their disarrangement.
Between the barrier and the body back wall there is placed the main charge – 50/50-RDX/ material. In the main charge center the booster charge lies – material.
On the body sidewall surface there are welded two slats with screws and butterfly nuts for fixing the charge body to the positioning device (see Fig. 3-item 4.2).
4.2. The charge positioning device (Fig.3) consists of a console and a bracket. The sharp end of the console is driven into a place suitable to position the charge. In one of the console ends there are made two mutually perpendicular conic holes for attaching the bracket.
In the middle of the bracket there is fixed a cut narrow pipe with a bolt, on which a butterfly nut is screwed. The bolt has a cone tip. When the butterfly nut is tightened, the bolt cone tip enters into the cut narrow pipe and presses it to the console cone hole. On both ends of the bracket there are holes in which the screws welded to slats on the charge enter (Fig.2). The bracket is tightened to the charge by means of butterfly nuts.

- CHARGE PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION “UA-100”
When electrical impulse is delivered to the electric detonator it explodes and causes detonation in the boosting pressing and in the main charge (Fig.2). The fragments (400–pcs.) fly in direction of the sighting.
Figure 4 shows the distribution of the UA-100 casualty areas. The numbers 0.1; 0.5; 0.9 and 1.0 show the casualty probabilities in the different zones of charge operation range.

Fig.4. Diibution of “UA-100” casualty areas
- PACKING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
In transportation condition the bracket of the positioning device is mounted to the charge body (Fig.2). The charges are packed in wooden boxes, 5 pieces in each one, with the corresponding set of consoles for their positioning. The packing is performed in compliance with Fig.5.
The electric detonators (EDPr – ) are packed in polyethylene pocket and transported separately in wooden box.
The packed charges could be carried by any type of transport.
The charges are stored in dry premises that meet all the requirements for storage of ammunitions, in their transportation packing.
Fig.5. Transportation packing of “UA-100 ”
- 7. SAFETY MEASURES
All manipulations with the charges and the electric detonators should be carried out under strict observation of the safety requirements ordered by the adequate normative documents for handling ammunitions and land-based charges.
The personnel in charge of these activities should be instructed and introduced to the charge structure and principle of operation as well as to the required safety measures.
When handling the charges it is necessary to observe strictly the order and precisely fulfill the respective instructions, described in the present manual.
- CHARGE PREPARATION AND LAYING
When laying the charges “UA-100 ”, the following operations are carried out:
- Connect the initiating board to the autopilot. Make sure it is programmed to the RC proper switch “Armed”.
- Install console of the positioning device into a UAV, or other object acting as a support for charge laying. Figure 6а presents charge positioning on a vertical beam.
- Attach the charge body to the UAV bracket in the required direction and tighten the butterfly nuts so that the charge cannot be rotated.
- Fix the bracket, together with the charge, in one of the holes of the console and screw the butterfly nut.
- Direct the charge by means of a sighting device. For charge aiming a sighting device (see item 9 – Fig.7)
- Tighten finally the butterfly nuts and check once more the aiming accuracy.
- Check the running order of the initiating board (autopilot or etc) and the electric detonator.
- Unscrew the protective cap on the charge from the threaded bed and screw in it the electric detonator.

Fig.6. Positioning of “UA-100 ”
- Connect the electric detonator to the blasting circuit and insulate the connections.
- After the personnel has withdrawn from the UAV with installed charges, check the serviceability of the charges electric circuits from the autopilot.
9 CHARGE NEUTRALIZATION
In order to neutralize the charge it is necessary to perform the following operations:
9.01 Disconnect the voltage source of the initiating board from the authopilot unit and shorten the wire ends.
9.02 Unscrew the electric detonator from its threaded bed and remove it from the charge.
9.03 Disconnect the electric detonator wires from the initiating board.
9.04 Remove the charge from the positioning device.
